A new pencil factory, PT. A.W. Faber Castell Indonesia, was built in Indonesia in 1992. The factory has a production capacity of 1.4 million gross/yr of wood-cased pencils. The company is a subsidiary of A.W. Faber Castell GmbH of Germany. At the same location is a pencil lead-making facility, PT. Pencil Leads Indonesia.
